The hair problem
Enough is enough
No need to suffer from a gland disease to be fed up with constant shaving or hair removal. Underarms, legs, bikini have become very unpleasant words for many women! A feeling that can be justified by the fact that women have to deal with this problem all year long.
Underarms are considered by many women as a real bother: as soon as summer and T-shirts arrive, women are not free to raise their arms as they wish: “When did I have my hair removed? Are my underarms clear or not?”. As for the legs: even after a close shave or a hair removal, legs do not remain soft very long, and whatever you do, hair bulbs remain visible which is very unattractive.
As shown on the opposite pictures, several follicles will appear quickly after and give birth to new hair that will have to be plucked or shaved again.
The situation is hardly better at the back of the thighs, where shaving or removing hair is a real challenge.
The bikini area: a tricky problem
For most women, the preparation necessary before wearing a bathing suit can become a real nightmare. Hair in this area are large, many are ingrown, and folliculitis (redness at the base of the hair) are frequent. Indeed, traditional hair removal methods systematically induce hair ingrowth, which frequently turns into infections. Repeated shaving or hair removal worsen the situation.
Complications of folliculitis are frequently reported and cases of women getting treated for real abscesses are – alas – frequent.
Many women give up hair removal in the winter, hairs being hidden behind their pants. Thus, keeping a “clear” skin has become a chore, to which can be added the problem of the cost. Many people spend large amounts of money in order to get rid painfully of their hair. A woman who has had her hair removed by an aesthetician from the age of 16 up to the age of 32 will have spent approximately 10.500 CHF (7000€)!
Men too are more and more concerned by the abundance of hair: excessive beard, back, chest, nape of the neck, shoulders, nose. Many athletes, such as cyclists or swimmers for example, undergo hair removal too for aesthetic reasons, but most of all for hygiene and health reasons. In short, everybody suffers from ungainly hair at different levels.
Guide marks are still visible. The doctor is thus able to define thoroughly the areas to be treated. The treated hair have all swelled: it is the “papular” reaction, which disappears in 20 to 40 minutes. And, as soon as the day after, the treatment of the chest will begin!
